Joyagear Fighters Bring the Heat to GLORY 100 – An Evening of Emotion, Impact, and Unforgettable Moments

Joyagear Vechters Brengen Vuur Naar GLORY 100 – Een Avond Vol Emotie, Impact en Onvergetelijke Momenten

On Saturday, June 14th, Rotterdam Ahoy hosted GLORY 100 – a historic anniversary edition of the world’s largest kickboxing organization. For Joyagear, it was more than just visibility on the biggest stage; it was a showcase of dedication, fighting spirit, and top-tier performance. Our fighters – Bahram Rajabzadeh, Sergej Maslobojev, and Artem Vakhitov – faced off against some of the most renowned names in kickboxing and proved they belong among the sport's elite.

This night was about more than winning or losing. It was about character. About falling and rising. And about the crucial role of professional equipment – from high-quality kickboxing gloves our fighters trained with to their fight shorts and walkout outfits.

Rajabzadeh Starts Explosively in Last Heavyweight Standing Tournament

Bahram Rajabzadeh, one of the most exciting prospects in GLORY and our own Joyagear fighter, stepped into the ring for the semifinals of the Last Heavyweight Standing tournament. His opponent: Asdren Gashi. What followed was nothing short of a masterclass in power and precision.

Within just 53 seconds of round one, Rajabzadeh knocked out Gashi with a devastating left hook. The impact was immense – both physically and emotionally. The crowd erupted, and the message was clear: Rajabzadeh was not here to participate, but to dominate.

Thanks to an excellent training camp, Bahram delivered a world-class performance.

Unfortunately, the tournament format was ruthless. Just hours later, Rajabzadeh had to re-enter the ring, this time for the final against Mory Kromah. Emotions ran high for both fighters and fans. After 2 minutes and 14 seconds of fire in round one, Bahram was caught off guard by a flying knee from Kromah – a knockout that abruptly ended his tournament title chase.

Still, his explosive semifinal performance stands as one of the night’s most thrilling highlights – proof that with the right gear and mindset, Rajabzadeh is destined for the top.

At Joyagear, we’re proud to have supported Bahram’s entire preparation. From our Joyagear Performance Kickboxing Gloves during sparring, to his custom walkout outfit and more. We – and the entire Dutch fight scene – eagerly await his next appearance in the ring.

Maslobojev: From Underdog to Champion

Our second Joyagear fighter in the spotlight was Sergej Maslobojev. His mission: to challenge reigning champion Tarik Khbabez for the light-heavyweight title. What followed was a tactical masterpiece.

Maslobojev fought with composure, precision, and unmatched focus. Every strike was calculated, every kick part of a greater strategy. In the fourth round, he broke Khbabez – both physically and mentally. Three knockdowns – caused by crushing leg kicks and body shots – led the referee to stop the fight. TKO at 2:06, crowning Maslobojev the new GLORY light-heavyweight champion.

This victory was no accident. It was the result of years of training, discipline, and trust in his equipment. For him too, having the right boxing gloves during preparation was crucial to his success in the ring.

Vakhitov vs Verhoeven: A Battle of Honor and Endurance

The evening’s main event was already legendary before it began: Rico Verhoeven, the undisputed champion, versus Artem Vakhitov – former light-heavyweight champion and Joyagear representative.

What the audience didn’t know: in round two, Vakhitov completely tore his bicep. Later in the fight, he suffered a severe knee injury – a torn ligament. Despite these injuries, he stood his ground and fought through all five rounds against one of the greatest heavyweights of all time.

Verhoeven controlled the fight with range, precision, and smart combinations. After five rounds, the judges unanimously scored it 50–45 for Verhoeven. But Vakhitov’s performance was nothing short of heroic. He proved that true warriors fight not just with their fists, but with their hearts.
