On Friday, April 4, it’s time for a legendary showdown: Regian “The Immortal” Eersel defends his ONE Lightweight Kickboxing World Title against French challenger Alexis “Barboza” Nicolas in what is already being called the trilogy of the year.
This battle takes place during ONE Fight Night 30 at the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, as the co-main event of the evening.
The history between Eersel and Nicolas is intense. In April 2024, Nicolas shocked the world by breaking Eersel’s seven-year unbeaten streak and taking the title. But Eersel came back with a dominant, clinical win in their rematch six months later, reclaiming the belt and becoming a two-time ONE champion once again.
The score is now 1–1. This third clash will be the decider — a rubber match with everything on the line. Expect sharp technique, relentless pace, and serious fire. Regian Eersel is fighting not just for the belt — but for his legacy.

Just one day later, on Saturday, April 5, the action kicks off in the Netherlands. GLORY 99 takes place at Rotterdam Ahoy and promises an evening of explosive fights. The highlight: the Last Heavyweight Standing tournament.
With 32 fighters and 16 fights, this is a unique format where only the strongest survive. All or nothing.
Our very own Bahram Rajabzadeh, known for his raw power and explosive style, takes on Dutch veteran Brian Douwes in a crucial Heavyweight Qualification Fight. The winner moves on to the next round — and it’s shaping up to be an all-out war.

ONE and GLORY aren’t the only ones bringing the heat this month. The UFC is also coming through with three must-see events that have fans worldwide on the edge of their seats:
On the same day as GLORY 99, action unfolds stateside in Las Vegas. UFC Fight Night features a featherweight main event between Josh Emmett and undefeated British fighter Lerone Murphy. Two powerful strikers hungry for a spot in the division’s elite. Expect fast hands, big shots, and nonstop intensity.
A week later, the fireworks continue with UFC 314 in Miami. Former champ Alexander Volkanovski returns to try and reclaim the featherweight belt against rising Brazilian star Diego Lopes.
Also on the card: an absolute banger — Michael Chandler vs. Paddy Pimblett in the lightweight division. That fight alone is worth tuning in for.
The month closes out in Kansas City on April 26, where former light heavyweight champ Jamahal Hill takes on Khalil Rountree Jr. Both known for their knockout power — this is one that likely won’t go to the judges. Expect fireworks.
