Who is Renato Moicano?

Renato Moicano, born in Brazil, started judo at the age of eight, forming a strong foundation in martial arts. Although he initially studied law, he stopped after two years to fully focus on MMA. His nickname “Moicano” means ‘mohawk’ in Portuguese, referring to his distinctive hairstyle during Brazilian jiu-jitsu training. Before signing with the UFC, he held an undefeated record of eight wins and won the interim Jungle Fight Featherweight title via an impressive first-round rear naked choke submission. In December 2014, he signed with the UFC and made a strong impression by winning his debut with only ten days’ preparation, again by rear naked choke against Tom Niinimäki. His background and technical skills make him an inspiring example of perseverance and focus in the MMA world.
